Abstract
The intent of this article is to propose an attribute group acceptance sampling plan under time-censoring when the lifetime of a product follows the generalized half-normal (GHN) distribution. The test plans are formulated by using a traditional two-point method and also minimizing and limiting a linear combination of conventional producer and consumer risks. The optimal number of groups and the acceptance number are obtained using integer nonlinear programming. The suggested optimal group plans outperform the traditional optimal two-point plan in terms of sample size when the producer and consumer risks are less than a maximum risk tolerated by the analyst. The proposed plans are applied to a real data set for illustrative purposes.
